Terry Syler

Terry Syler is an original Partner and Executive Vice President with The Retail Connection, where he brings his extensive experience to every facet of the retail real estate industry, from investments to tenant representation. With a keen eye for market dynamics and a commitment to excellence, Syler spearheads expansion initiatives for a diverse portfolio of entertainment, restaurant, and retail clients across the United States.

Since 2012, Syler and his colleagues Luke Wilson and Miles Hoisington have completed over 90 Topgolf transactions nationwide, solidifying their team's reputation as industry leaders. Presently, as the driving force behind The Retail Connection's Entertainment Practice, Syler and the team oversee the expansion efforts for Topgolf, COSM, GoodSurf, Big SNOW, World Springs, and High 5 Entertainment. Beyond transactional excellence, Syler plays a pivotal role in acquisitions at The Retail Connection, leveraging his astute insights to identify and capitalize on diversified retail assets and private equity opportunities.

In addition to his work in the entertainment sector, Syler also represents a number of prominent national retail brands including Ollie's Bargain Outlet, Sherwin-Williams, and Black Sheep Coffee. His strategic guidance and market expertise have helped these brands execute successful expansion strategies and strengthen their presence in key markets.

His dedication to industry advancement is further evidenced by his involvement with prestigious organizations; Syler served as a Board Member of The Real Estate Council (TREC) in 2021 and sat on the Board of Directors for the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR) in 2013 and 2014, before resuming his tenure on the TREC Board in 2022 and 2023. Currently, he remains an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), contributing to the dialogue shaping the future of retail.
